Good Friday Anniversary Special / Darkness / with Radio Free Golgotha
Apr 07, 2023
J.M. Hamade

On this one year anniversary special we are joined by Jesse Hathaway Diaz and returning guest Dr Alexander Cummins, the estimable and brilliant hosts of the podcast Radio Free Golgotha, to muse on ‘Darkness’ in its many facets.

As 'a starnight dwell' was founded one year ago during The Harrowing of Hell (the time between Good Friday and Easter) as a means of exploring the starry underworld of the Imaginal, it was only appropriate to speak with two so well versed on the eclipsing mysteries therein.

Our discussion was free-form and open-ended, as tends to be the nature of darkness. As a show based upon discrete focal points of light, what is it to use this same approach instead with the space around said luminosities? Must darkness always be in opposition to light, such as black to white? Is it our greatest ignorance and our deepest knowledge? Or perhaps it marks the beginning stages of the breakdown between these binaries; a fertile-merging, a mixing, and a fluid in between?

Jesse and Al’s information, as well as more on their podcast and the Speakeasy of the Dead: RFG Site
